ABOUT
A Musical Journey
Obsessed with musical storytelling, Tres Hunter has pursued bringing stories, experiences, and characters to life on-stage around the globe. A renaissance man of genres, Mr. Hunter has professionally performed everything from country/western to opera and avant-garde choral music. Through this wide range of music, Mr. Hunter creates unique experiences that are authentic, relatable, and compelling to audiences everywhere.
Recognized for his talent for storytelling at a young age, Mr. Hunter began performing across the U.S during Highschool as a country/western singer and soon after made his international debut as a performer at Hong Kong Disneyland at the age of twenty-two. In Hong Kong, Mr. Hunter was praised for his ability to connect with an audience, even when a language barrier may be present. Since then, Mr. Hunter has performed across the U.S and abroad as a classical soloist and chorister.
Based out of Dallas, Texas, Mr. Hunter regularly performs with the Dallas Opera and surrounding companies such as Ft. Worth Opera, Opera Arlington, and American Baroque Opera. Mr. Hunter recently made his mainstage debut as "Baobab/Hunter" in Portman's, The Little Prince at The Dallas Opera, and has since also sung the Flemish Deputy in Verdi's, Don Carlo and will be a Noble in the upcoming 2027 production of Wagner's, Lohengrin. Additionally, Mr. Hunter will be making his mainstage debut as Antonio in Mozart's, Le Nozze di Figaro, at Central City Opera in Colorado as an Apprentice Artist. Later this year, Mr. Hunter will be making another mainstage debut with Amarillo Opera singing the Sergeant of Police in Pirates of Penzance.
In addition to opera, Mr. Hunter enjoys a vibrant career in concert music and oratorio. Most recently Mr. Hunter was the bass soloist for the Beethoven C Major Mass with the Highland Park Chorale and performs frequently as a soloist with the ensemble. Additionally, he regularly performs the standard bass/baritone solo repertoire such as Handel’s Messiah, Verdi Requiem, and Mozart Requiem.
Tres Hunter currently lives in the D/FW metroplex with his wife, their pug, and orange tabby cat. When he’s not singing classical music, Tres still enjoys playing guitar and singing western music. Not one to lose his humble roots from a small North Texas town, you’ll see him in boots and jeans and out fishing every chance he gets.
